What is Frank working on?
A Korean cast recording of The Count of Monte Cristo has just been released, featuring
Ryu Jung-han, Um Ki-joon and Shin Sung-rok as Dantès, and Ock Joo-hyun and Cha Ji-yeon as
Mercédès. It is available from
Interpark
(site in Korean) and
Sound of Music.
The show played at the Universal Arts Center in Seoul, South Korea from 21 April through 13 June
2010. Photos from this production have been added to the Project Photo Gallery.

The St. Gallen, Switzerland production of the show just completed its second season, with performances
from 3 October 2009 through 5 April 2010. A third season has been announced, with performances currently
planned between 9 October and 30 December 2010. Tickets are available through the
Theater St. Gallen website.
A German-language cast recording and an English-language concept recording are also available. For more

Last year's concert staging of A Tale of Two Cities is now available on
DVD, and a new international studio cast recording has just been released. These both include the new song
titled "Never Say Goodbye", which was written by Frank (music) and Tale creator Jill Santoriello
(lyrics) specifically for the concert production. They are available for purchase on the
show's official website.
"Never Say Goodbye" was performed by Brandi Burkhardt (in the role of Lucie Manette), and is not related
to Frank's show of the same name. A clip of the number can be seen in a promotional video at
Broadway.com
(just after the 5 minute mark).
The concert was taped from the stage of Theater Royal in Brighton, England in June 2009 and aired on PBS
stations throughout the US in November and December. The cast includes James Barbour, Natalie Toro, Kevin
Earley, J. Mark McVey, Ed Dixon, Rosemary Leach, Simon Thomas, Paul Baker and Michael York serving as
narrator.

Frank has entered a partnership with Sony Masterworks
and Soul Bear Records for the marketing, promotion, and distribution of his national and international theatre
recordings. The goal of the partnership is to create a home to find, nurture, develop, and market new talent.
The first release is the recent recording of Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure, which is now
available at all major digital retailers, including
Amazon and
iTunes.
A second production of Bonnie & Clyde has just been announced as part of the
Asolo Repertory Theatre's 2010-2011 Season in Sarasota, Florida, USA.
The pre-Broadway tryout production is expected to begin previews on 12 November 2010, officially open on
19 November, and run through 19 December. Casting and other details have yet to be announced, and a "major
talent search contest" is under way. Season subscriptions are currently available by calling the box office

Individual tickets will go on sale in September.
The world premiere production of the show took place at La Jolla Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre in La
Jolla, California, beginning previews on 10 November 2009, officially opening on 22 November and running
through 20 December. This staging was honored with several awards at the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle's
2009 Craig Noel Awards for Theatrical Excellence.
The show has music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black, a book by Ivan Menchell, direction by Jeff Calhoun
and music direction by John McDaniel.

The world premiere staging of Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure recently ended at
the Alley Theatre in Houston, Texas. This run of the show took
place on the Hubbard Stage from 15 January through 14 February 2010, with an opening night of 20 January.
The show ran at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing
Arts (previously called the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center) in Tampa, Florida from 24 November 2009
through 3 January 2010, with an official opening of 5 December. A concept recording of the show is
now available at Amazon,

The most recent performances of Carmen took place at the Karlín Musical Theater in
Prague, Czech Republic from 24 February through 12 June 2010. The show is expected to return on 15
September, with dates announced into October. Performances take place on Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7
PM, with Saturday matinees at 3 PM. Tickets are available by calling +420 221 868 777 or

reported last season that the show has become the most successful production in Czech theater history, with
unprecedented ticket sales. A cast recording is currently available. There is an official website

Other Updates:
Linda Eder will be appearing in a one-hour musical special titled "Hallelujah Broadway," airing on PBS
nationwide in July and August. Recorded live in Prague in February, the concert includes inpsiring and
uplifting songs from the musical theatre canon. Linda is expected to sing "Someone Like You" (from Jekyll
& Hyde) and "Gold" (from Camille Claudel) as well as "Electricity" (from Billy Elliot, by
Elton John and Lee Hall). She will be joined on stage by Rodrick Dixon, Alfreda Burke and Anthony Kearns,
under the direction of Tony Gregory and the music direction of Gavin Murphy. Check your local listings for
air times. An extended CD and DVD of the concert are expected out in September.

Frank was honored at the second annual Tommy Awards, presented by the USC Alumni Club of New York. The
event took place on 28 June at NYU's Skirball Center, hosted by Bryce Ryness and featuring music by
Frank and others. A VIP reception followed the performance, and all proceeds from the evening will benefit
USC scholarship programs. The Tommy Awards honor extraordinary contributions made by USC alumni to New
York's business, cultural, sports and philanthropic communities. Other honorees this year included
bestselling financial author David Bach (The Automatic Millionaire), The Blackstone Group Senior Managing
Director Timothy Coleman, urban designer and architect Jonie Fu and painter/art critic Peter Plagens. For

Performing rights for Dracula, The Musical have just been released by Music Theatre

Rudolf
A new production of Rudolf is expected to take place beginning in December, at Pécsi Nemzeti
Színház (National Theatre of Pécs) in Pécs, Hungary. Somogyi Szilárd, who
was assistant director for the original Budapest production, will direct. More information is available on

Jekyll & Hyde
Jekyll is currently being presented at Teatro Bradesco in
São Paulo, Brazil. Performances began on 8 July 2010 and have been announced through 31 July,
taking place on Thursdays through Sundays. Ticket information is available by calling (11) 4003 1212, or
online.
The cast is led by Nando Prado, Kiara Sasso and Kacau Gomes, under the direction of Fred Hanson. The
translation is provided by Claudio Botelho. More information is available on the

The Australasian Tour of Jekyll just completed its run in Taiwan.
Performances took place in Taipei on 17-20 June, Tainan on 24-27 June, Taichung on 1-4 July and Kaohsiung
on 9-12 July.
The tour began with a run in South Korea from August through November of 2009, and is also hoped to
play in China, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. New plans will be posted as they are announced.
Brad Little leads the cast as Jekyll/Hyde, with Ana Marina as Emma, Belinda Wollaston as Lucy, Juan Jackson
as Utterson and Barry Langrishe as Sir Danvers. Lucy Maunder played Emma for the Korean leg of the tour.

The Scarlet Pimpernel
Takarazuka Revue - the famous, all-female theater company based in Takarazuka, Japan - recently presented
their second production of Pimpernel, this time performed by Moon Troupe at the Takarazuka Grand
Theater in Takarazuka, 16 April - 17 May 2010 and at the Tokyo Takarazuka Theater in Tokyo, 4 June - 4 July
2010. Hiromu Kiriya led the cast as Percy with Yuki Aono as Marguerite. Masaki Ryuu and Rio Asumi
alternated in the roles of Chauvelin and Armand. Shuichiro Koike directed. A cast recording and DVD from

The Civil War / For The Glory
The Flat Rock Playhouse presented For The Glory in Flat Rock, North Carolina
from 2 June through 4 July 2010, with an official opening night of 5 June. Mike Eldred and Michael
Lanning led the cast, with Vincent Marini directing and Dave Clemmons serving as music supervisor.

Victor/Victoria
The video of the Broadway production of Victor/Victoria will be released on Blu-Ray, on 27 July
2010. It is currently available for
pre-order on Amazon.
It is still available on DVD,
and from iTunes.
Victor/Victoria will be presented at the Stockerau Open Air Festival near Vienna, Austria. The
show premieres on 6 July, and then runs from 13 July through 14 August 2010. Maya Hakvoort and Alfons
Haider lead the cast as Victoria and Toddy. More information is available on the

A dinner theater production of Victor/Victoria is taking place at the
Capitol Mannheim in Mannheim, Germany. Upcoming performances
are planned on 18 September, 22 October, 2 and 28 December 2010.
