“He has composed over 40 musicals now, and they are being performed simultaneously in many countries around the world. The Korean premiere of Jekyll and Hyde in 2004, along with The Phantom of the Opera two years earlier, was the catalyst that led to the explosive growth of the Korean musical market. He has recently started composing classical music. He became the first American composer to perform and record the Danube Symphony with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra in Austria. The title of his second symphony, which is scheduled to be recorded in January next year, is “Odessa,” the name of the Ukrainian city where his mother was born.”
