Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about the Calendar:

How do I submit a new production for posting on the Calendar?

We do not take direct submissions for most calendar listings at this website. The information posted on the calendar comes primarily from a few specific outside sites. We encourage you to submit your performance details to the relevant site, and once it is listed there we will add it to the calendar here as well.

For Jekyll & Hyde visit the Official Jekyll Site and fill out the Production Form
For The Scarlet Pimpernel visit the Official Pimpernel Site and fill out the Production Form
For The Civil War and all other listings use the Contact Us form on this site to send us the details

How do I secure the rights to stage one of Frank's shows?

Find full details about this on the Performance Rights page.

How accurate are the performance dates that are shown?

Every effort is made to ensure that the information posted here is accurate. To be safe, confirm the details of any performance you are interested in attending, including the date, show time, and location of the performance. If there is a discrepancy, use the information provided by the group or venue in question.

I called the box office, and they say the show isn't happening there?

This can sometimes happen when you call far ahead of a performance. Performing and marketing groups will begin to announce some shows before the box office staff is informed that the show will be at their venue. If you are calling far in advance and this happens, check around for information on when tickets will become available (see the next question for more on this). If it is closer to the performance date, double check the venue information and try calling an alternative phone number if one is available.

How do I tell when tickets for a performance go on sale?

There is no hard and fast rule to tell when tickets will become available for a performance. It can range from a few weeks, to many months, before opening night. Many times there are season subscribers at a venue who will have access to tickets before the "individual" (ie, non-subscriber) ticket sales begin. Check for information using the website for the show, that of the performing group or venue, and any online ticketing site. Even if you don't plan to purchase tickets online, you can sometimes determine when sales will begin by watching the online sales site. You could also call the performing group, venue, box office or ticketing agency to ask.

I called the box office, and tickets are already sold out. What now?

This can be a big disappointment. There are some things you can try, which sometimes help...

If you have more than one way to order tickets (several phone numbers, an online ticketing site, etc) try each of those ways. Different sales points may have access to different blocks of seats.

Check around among local theater fans, or online at the message boards and mailing lists for the show (see the fan community site, WildhornFans.net, for some links). Someone may have a spare ticket or a conflict at the last minute, leaving them with a ticket to offer.

Try checking for tickets again in the week or two immediately leading up to the show. Venues may release extra blocks of seats in these final days, or have cancellations.

Try again on the day of the show, many times a few seats open up that day.

Check if the venue has a rush policy for the show - tickets held aside to sell on the day of the performance. Ask for details of the policy, some are for students with I.D. only, most have limits to how many tickets you can purchase.

Also check on standing room availability, or a waiting list for the performance.
